The Mount Suribachi flags, photographed by Pvt. Bob Campbell. The first flag is lowered while the second flag is raised on D+4, 23 February 1945. The first flag was raised by six marines of E company, 2nd Battalion, 28th Regiment, 5th Marine Division.
