USS Indianapolis Photos from the Alfred J. Sedivi Collection
The Naval Institute presents this historic photo gallery of selected images from the USS Indianapolis – Alfred J. Sedivi Collection. The original photographs were cared for by his family for nearly seventy years, who recently entrusted them to the Naval Institute for preservation. They include some photographs that were taken up to three days before the ship was sunk. We are able to share this collection with you through the generosity of numerous private donors.
A special thanks to Captain William J. Toti, U.S. Navy (Retired) for his generous support of the USS Indianapolis/Sedivi project. Toti is a former commander of the Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine USS Indianapolis (SSN-697).
