DDs, DEs, FM Wildcats, and TBF/TBM Avengers of the USS Guadalcanal (CVE-60), under the command of Captain Daniel V. Gallery, sank: U-544, U-515 and U-68. U-505 was captured and is now on display at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, Illinois
