PTF-1 (formerly PT-810), a U.S.- built boat, conducted a raid on Vinh Son, North Vietnam, on the night of 3-4 August 1964, as part of OPLAN-34A, clandestine warfare operations against North Vietnam by South Vietnamese-crewed patrol boats and commandos.
