Explosive Ordnance Team (EOD) men are trained in the use of the Navys newest breathing apparatus, the Mark VI, which used a mixture of helium and oxygen to afford more underwater time. Training is conducted in a swimming pool first, then in swallow waters, and finally in deep waters off Barbers Point, Hawaii.
